My name is Mohammed, a Palestinian living in Gaza. For over 650 days, my family and I have lived through the nightmare of war. I’ve lost my city, my job, and many of my loved ones.
What was once a peaceful and simple life is now a daily fight for survival. We’re living in constant fear, surrounded by destruction. We have no steady access to food or clean water. Sometimes, we can only share one meal every two days. Imagine standing before your starving mother and siblings, with nothing to give—nothing at all.
I try to stay strong, but it’s hard to hold onto hope when each day brings more suffering. Winter was merciless, and summer is even worse. The sound of drones, the smell of smoke, and the silence from the world around us have become our new reality.
I’m not asking for luxury. I’m asking for the basics—food, shelter, medicine, and a chance to rebuild. I am the only source of hope for my family, but even hope is hard to hold onto when your body is weak and your heart is exhausted.
